Which court is on your paperwork?
The state courthouse is at 4000 Justice Way. Castle Rock and Parker operate municipal courts with different buildings, telephone numbers and procedures. A city name alone does not establish the correct court.

The location of the stop and name of the issuing agency are useful clues. The complete court name, street address, case or citation number and latest official notice identify the clerk and procedure that apply.

The state courthouse is at 4000 Justice Way, Suite 2009, Castle Rock. Use the state-court information when the papers name Douglas County Court, Douglas District Court, Douglas Combined Court or the 23rd Judicial District.
The Colorado Judicial Branch lists the public telephone as 720-437-6200 and courthouse hours as 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except state holidays. Verify closures and the current courtroom before traveling.

The municipal court is at 100 Perry Street. The Town says the court has jurisdiction over alleged Castle Rock ordinance violations, including traffic, parking, animal and misdemeanor-code matters occurring within Town limits.
Castle Rock’s current page says traffic cases are heard by Zoom. It also distinguishes violations that may be paid from those requiring an appearance. Neither statement applies automatically to a state-court or Parker case.

Parker Municipal Court is at 20120 E. Mainstreet and processes Town of Parker and Town of Foxfield misdemeanor and traffic offenses. Use this court only when the citation or current notice assigns the matter there.
Parker publishes color clues for certain paper summonses, but electronic tickets, copies and later notices may look different. Always match the court caption, return address and contact information.

The Colorado Judicial Branch states that the 23rd Judicial District was established on January 14, 2025. It includes Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln Counties and has court locations in Castle Rock, Kiowa and Hugo.
An older ticket, directory, saved bookmark or article may still refer to the 18th Judicial District. For a current Douglas County matter, use the 23rd Judicial District information and the specific court location shown on the live record or notice.

Castle Rock currently says municipal traffic cases are heard by Zoom. The same official page says some violations require a court appearance while others may be resolved through payment before court.
Confirm that the ticket actually names Castle Rock Municipal Court and use the case-specific Zoom or payment instructions. Do not apply the Town’s process to Douglas County Court, Parker Municipal Court or another jurisdiction.

Parker says its misdemeanor and non-electronic traffic summonses are yellow and Foxfield summonses are pink. Its official page directs people with blue or green summonses to Douglas County Court at 720-437-6200.
That is a practical sorting clue for the papers described by the Town. A photocopy, scan, electronic citation or later notice may not preserve the color. The full court name, address and case information remain the safer identifiers.

The Douglas County court page says Douglas County Combined Courts does not accept faxed documents. It separately publishes an email address for research requests concerning documents from a case.
Do not assume a document has been filed merely because it was faxed or emailed. Confirm the authorized filing method, destination, deadline and receipt requirements for the specific document through the official court.

The Douglas County court page currently warns about fraudulent text messages claiming an unpaid toll, parking or speeding violation. A message that creates urgency is a reason to verify, not a reason to follow an unfamiliar payment link.
Compare the alleged case number, court name and telephone with an official government source. Type the official web address independently instead of using a link in an unsolicited text or email.
A legitimate online payment option does not mean every ticket is payable, that every offer has the same consequences or that the link in a message is genuine. Review what the actual ticket and court record say.
Preserve the complete front and back of the summons, any penalty-assessment language, the issuing agency, payment offer, court address, date and participation instruction. Keep later court notices in date order.
If a suspicious message refers to a real matter, verification through the official clerk helps separate the genuine case from the questionable communication. Do not disclose confidential facts through an unverified channel.
Separate authorities · separate calendars
A DUI-related event may create both a court case and a separate administrative license matter. A traffic conviction may also affect a driving record. Organize the court and DMV paperwork as different tracks.
The summons and later notices identify the court, date and authorized appearance method. A Castle Rock Zoom policy does not govern a Douglas County or Parker matter, and a municipal portal does not update a state-court case.
The Colorado DMV administers hearing requests, restraints and reinstatement. The applicable response period depends on the triggering event and the notice issued. Verify it without waiting for a court appearance.
